Roma Mitchell Secondary College opened as a new multi campus school in 2011 consisting of a co-educational campus, a girls’ education campus and a special education campus all on one site. The school is located only 15 minutes from the centre of Adelaide, close to bus routes, the city parklands and a world-class cycling velodrome and hockey stadium. Roma Mitchell Secondary College, named after Dame Roma Mitchell, the first Australian woman to become a judge, Queen's Counsel, chancellor of an Australian university and governor of an Australian state, has quickly established a reputation for academic achievement and sporting success. The school offers a Gifted and Talented Program for academically gifted students and a Specialist Sport Program for students with a potential for cycling, hockey or soccer.
