애들레이드공립학교 더 헤이츠 학교는 애들레이드 시티에서 북쪽으로

THE HEIGHTS SCHOOL INGITE PROGRAM
The Ignite program is funded by the South Australian Department of Education and Children's Services.
Three secondary schools, Aberfoyle Park High School, Glenunga International High School, and The Heights School operate as a consortium. These three Ignite schools have been provided with resources to specifically cater for the needs of highly gifted students.
The Ignite program recognises the individual needs of gifted students and therefore offers flexibility in student learning.
Key features of the Ignite program in all three schools are:
Students working with their intellectual peers
Focus on Critical, Creative and Caring Thinking
Comprehensive and ongoing training and development in Gifted Education for staff
Selective entry for students into year 8 based on a four part test
Excellent technology and resources
Flexible timetabling
There are a number of different Ignite classes at The Heights and each class has a particular identity.
The Year 6/7 Ignite class consists of students who have been assessed using an abstract reasoning test or have had a psychological assessment. This class offers clustering of similar students and various enrichment opportunities.
At Year 8 level the Ignite accelerated class consists predominantly of students who have sat the Ignite entry test as a Year 6 or Year 7 student. The expression of interest form for the Ignite test can be downloaded from this site or obtained from the school. The Ignite accelerated class completes Years 8, 9, and 10 in two years.
The Ignite extended class consists of students who have sat the Ignite entry test or have been assessed using other identification tools. This class completes Years 8, 9, and 10 in three years. Each Monday the Year 8 class participates in an integrated learning program which aims to develop critical thinkers who can make meaningful connections between disciplines in order to enhance their learning. The integrated learning program continues at Year 9 level.
The school has been recognised both nationally and internationally as a school of excellence in Gifted Education.

더헤잇 초중고등학교는 여러개의 다른 이그나이트 프로그램을 제공하고 있으며 각각의 이그나이트 프로그램 학급은 특별히 다른 정체성을 가지고 있습니다.
6/7학년의 이그나이트 프로그램 학급의 학생들은 ABSTRACT REASONING(요약 및추론) 시험 또는 PSYCHOLOGICAL 시험 (철학적 사고 시험) 통하여 구성되어진 이그나이트 학급입니다.
8학년의 이그나이트 프로그램인 ACCELERATED CLASS는 이그나이트 입학시험을 본 6학년과 7학년의 대부분의 학생들로 구성되어져 있습니다.
이그나이트 EXTENDED CLASS 학급은 이그나이트 입학시험 또는 개별적 증빙이 포한된 시험들로 뽑혀진 학생들로 구성되어져 있습니다.
더해잇 초중고등학교는 호주 연방 정부와 국제적으로 인정된 영재 재능 코스를 제공하는 학교로 인정되어지고 있습니다.
